1. What Scrubble is
Scrubble is proprietary software developed and operated by Bluewater Intelligence Ltd ("Scrubble", "we", "us"). It is a Chrome browser extension that provides visual annotation tools for people working inside supported AI chat applications: you mark the exact area of an image, add a short note, and Scrubble returns the annotated image and matching instructions to the same conversation. Scrubble is not an AI image generator, an AI content-generation service, an AI model provider, or an autonomous AI system, and these Terms do not make it one.
2. Eligibility and permitted use
You may use Scrubble if you can form a binding contract and are permitted to install and use Chrome extensions on the device and account you use it with. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Scrubble for its intended purpose, on devices you control, subject to these Terms. This licence does not transfer any ownership in Scrubble to you.
3. Your responsibilities and prohibited misuse
- keep your device and Chrome account reasonably secure;
- use Scrubble only for lawful purposes and only on content you are entitled to view and annotate;
- do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Scrubble beyond what applicable law permits;
- do not resell, sublicense, or redistribute Scrubble or represent it as your own;
- do not use Scrubble to automate abuse of a third-party AI platform's own terms of service;
- do not attempt to circumvent the free-use allowance or any paid-entitlement check.
4. Intellectual property
Scrubble, its name, logo, and underlying software are the property of Bluewater Intelligence Ltd and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited licence to use Scrubble described above. You retain all rights to the images, annotations and content you create using Scrubble.
5. Third-party AI platforms
Scrubble is designed to work inside third-party AI chat applications, currently ChatGPT (operated by OpenAI) and Claude (operated by Anthropic). Scrubble is an independent, unaffiliated tool: it is not endorsed by, certified by, or affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, or any other third-party platform unless we state otherwise. Those platforms' own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, separately from these Terms. Which platforms Scrubble supports may change over time — we will not claim support for a platform on this website unless it genuinely works in the current release.
6. Free use, paid subscriptions, and platform compatibility
Scrubble currently offers 10 completed Scrubbles free per month. We plan to offer a paid subscription for unlimited use while your paid entitlement remains active; current planned pricing and how to subscribe are described on our Billing & Refunds page, which forms part of these Terms. Where a paid subscription is offered, it renews automatically at the interval shown before you subscribe, until you cancel; cancelling stops future renewal but does not entitle you to a refund of the current billing period except as described on that page or required by law. Payments and subscription management may be handled by a third-party payment provider or Merchant of Record acting on our behalf; see our Privacy Policy for how that works.
7. Availability, suspension and termination
We aim to keep Scrubble available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — Scrubble depends on third-party AI platforms and the Chrome Web Store, which can change independently of us. We may suspend or terminate your access to Scrubble if you materially breach these Terms, or discontinue or change Scrubble, with reasonable notice where practicable. You may stop using Scrubble at any time by uninstalling it.
8. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability
Scrubble is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Scrubble. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any statutory right you have as a consumer.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data Scrubble accesses, what stays on your device, and what — if anything — is shared with a third party, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Scrubble changes — for example when paid subscriptions launch. We will update the effective date above when we do. Continuing to use Scrubble after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and your statutory rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory right you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in, including rights that cannot be waived by agreement — those rights apply in addition to, not instead of, these Terms.
